O Clube Campestre de Varginha foi fundado em 2 de abril de 1962 por um grupo de Rotarianos e inaugurado em 21 de setembro, com fins de desenvolver a cultura física, a prática de esportes amadores, propiciar oportunidades para a vida social e estimular o espírito de companheirismo entre os seus associados.
Está situado na Ilha Grande do Rio Verde – Bairro Penedo, no município de Varginha – MG, com uma área de 1400 alqueires (338.800 m2). Atualmente o Clube tem 2.500 associados proprietários, 124 associados contribuintes e 01 benemérito. O atual Presidente – gestão 2020- 2022-, é o senhor José do Carmo Guimarães.
